And you thought I'd disappeared ...

Things here have been crazy in both good and bad ways. I planned Winter Orientation with Stephani. It went better than either of us had expected.

Alison and Ellen are both back from England. It's such a huge relief to have both of them back. I have lots of girl friends here, but they're different. I feel so much more peaceful being in Boston with them also in Boston.

As for classes ... I'm taking a really strange mix of stuff, trying to get in all of my requirements before graduation. Astronomy (wonderful professor), Physics in Music (very cool, lots of fun), US History After 1865 (I keep comparing the professor to my Daddy, which isn't fair at all. She's not nearly as good a teacher, but the class itself shoud be okay. The TF reminds me of Liz, my Dad's former student teacher ... who now teaches in the room next to my dad), Statistics II (meh ... the material's actually interesting. The professor is okay ... not as good as Sullivan last semester, but I'll live), Orchestra, Lessons (Same old stuff ... Crazy Russian Violin Teacher and the most eclectic mix of orchestra conductors ever collected under one roof), and ... PHONOLOGY with Barnes (this is now the 4th class I've had with Professor Barnes. This is HIS subject, what he wrote his dissertation on and specialized in ... and what I'm interested in specializing in during Grad School. HOORAY for this class!).

In other news ... life is fine ... crazy, but fine. I'm working a lot for Orientation and the CSC. I'm going to New York next weekend to see the family. We're going to Avenue Q!!! I'm so excited. The whole weekend is going to be kind of whirlwind, but over all lots of fun.

I've been listening to a lot of Jeff Buckley lately. It makes me very happy.

Anyhow ... another update soon ... I promise :)
