02 July 2003 - 11:05 p.m. I've been a terrible person and not updated in ages. Orientation has taken my soul ... completely and totally engulfed my life. I love my job a lot ... but I'd like some breathing room. Unfortunately, this is orientation. We don't breathe here. I've been able to do some non-work things. The CHS kids came to visit. We played Euchre ... all the time. My Boston friends LOVED them. We went shopping a lot. They came to see my skit ... until the fire alarm stopped it. Anyhow, it was fun times. Seeing them, combined with my utter exhaustion from Orientation, made me miss home. A lot. I'm excited to go home in August. And my daddy's coming to visit on Friday. I'm excited. In other news, I've been listening to Tim McGraw with Al. Country ain't country if you listen to it without a Texan around. Let me tell you "just country boys and girls gettin' down on the farm" has new meaning when listening to it with a country girl. :) Ali and I went shopping today which was lots of fun. I adore that girl. Funny things: As we were debating presents, I said "nothin' says lovin' like a brand-new oven." We also ate at CPK and had a waiter who reminded us of Hank Azaria in The Birdcage. Good times ... good times. More soon, I promise ... for now exhaustion is winning.
