27 September 2002 - 12:01 a.m. Things of which I approve: New Slow Kids. Sam K. and Arthur are looking promising so far. +10 for them. Julian and Rey Rey. I love them. Even if Julian's parents have bizarre means of naming their children. (Nadia and Dania? Isn't it against the law to name your second child the same thing as your first ... but switching the consonants? If it isn't, it should be.) Vocal Jazz. SO much fun. It shouldn't be allowed. Nice Boy Ben. He is SUCH a good boy. I wish he were my VERY friend. Crayola Crayons. Conversations that are not "Hi, how's your day?" kinds of conversations. Things of which I do not approve: 8 am. It shouldn't be allowed. When I'm in charge, there will only be ONE 8 during the day. Also one 6, 7, and 9. Anything prior to that is also not acceptable unless it is part of night and not part of morning. The Starbucks by CFA. They are SLOW. SLOW, I say! The ridiculous amount of pain in my shoulders. Three hour orchestra dress rehearsals. Working both Friday AND Saturday nights. BAH! Not so cool. Embarassing myself ridiculously in front of both my Phonetics professor and my advisor in Linguistics ... by saying, "I AM SO CONFUSED. I QUIT RUSSIAN. EVEN BETTER ... I QUIT LINGUISTCS. I'LL JUST MAJOR IN VIOLIN. WE DON'T HAVE TO DO REAL WORK THERE ... o, hi Professor Barnes ... Professor Neidle. I didn't mean I'm quitting. Professor Barnes - I did the "Damp Skunk" assignment. It was really a lot of fun ... " (Melissa blushes sheepishly and runs off into the corner).
