08 February 2002 - 1:07 p.m.

I just got done hosting my first prospective student for lunch. He was from Ohio (Go Midwest!) ... and he was applying to the Accelerated Med Program. This fact alone made me slightly nauseated. I was just talking to Shaaroni ... and I've decided the Phrase of the Day should be "Bah to people who know what they want to do with their lives and will make lots of money doing it." They're almost as bad as the afforementioned Stupid People ... or the People in Stable Relationsips.

On a brighter note, today has been marvelous for a number of reasons. First, it is sunny. There is not a trace of the nasty Boston winter-ness hanging about. Second, I had a voice lesson! I would like to gush about how much I adore Amy Schneider for a moment. She's great. Also, I would like to say that my voice is SO out of shape ... and my body does not remember what it supposed to do when it sings. My spine thinks, "Haha! I shall shrink so that she has to feel tense." My muscles all say, "If we become very tense, she shall not be able to move ... also, she will not be able to produce pretty sounds!" All of my body is conspiring against me. It's horrid. I do LOVE singing though ... I feel so happy when I do. I want to prance about afterwards. My voice is actually getting better too ... not better than it's ever been, but better than it is right now. Third, there is NO ORCHESTRA today. None. I am so glad. I want to frolic. Fourth, I am babysitting tonight. YAY for babysitting! :) I can't wait. Fifth, Mommy just sent me a book that I have very been wanting to read and some pictures which include (but are not limited to) Slow Kids Fun, Jenna's Trip to Boston, New Year's Eve Dinner at Showboat with All the Kids Ever and New Year's Eve Post-Dinner Fun at the Dewey Residence.

I must go to Lunch Part 2: Frave.

Have a great day!
