Hooray for Michigan. Okay, so today wasn't full of Amazing Movie Thanksgiving Day Good-ness ... but it was good.

My mom ... geez, okay. So, she woke me up this morning telling me to get up and get ready for church. The whole Thanksgiving Day church tradition is fine ... but then, as we were walking out the door she said "where's your violin?" I wanted to scream, "I AM NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BRINGING MILO SEBASTIAN WITH ME TO CHURCH TODAY. IT IS MY WEEKEND TO RELAX. NOT TO PLAY VIOLIN FOR A BUNCH OF PEOPLE." But I went ... and I played and sang. It was really good for me. I miss singing so much ... and playing and not having to be scared about messing up. Playing just for me. I'm feeling very motivated now. Also, Fr. Joe's homily was marvelous. He had people list things they were thankful for, trying to get us to come up with a total of 99 things. Then he said, "Let us go forth, proclaiming the great work of God through all the things for which we are thankful..." I do not know, I guess it was just powerful being there. Also, I got to talk to Craig Gruner, whom I hadn't seen in forever. That was fun and exciting.

Melissa Jones has a boyfriend which is supremely not cool. Ever since Carri got married, the procession of members of my family getting married on that side has been ridiculous. I'm next in line and they're all breathing down my neck. My dad mentioned the word "boyfriend" today in the same sentence as my name, and the whole family stopped and perked up. "Melissa has a boyfriend?!?!?!?" Not enough pressure for you? Try EVERYONE on the other side of my family being involved in a serious relationship ... but me. I'm okay with being single ... unfortunately, my family is not so much okay with it.

Anyhow, it's a happy happy Thanksgiving. I'm off to bed. I need to rest up before the Girls' Night Slumber Party tomorrow.
